Who Are We?

Hard Knock Life, dating from late 2008, is a life cultist group assisting the survivors of Malton inside an online browser game called Urban Dead. Created by Speels, mastermind of tactics and coordination, and Ryanon, long time player of Urban Dead with leadership skills, Hard Knock Life is the single most successful Life Cultist group to date. Hard Knock Life makes use of each group member via "strikes" or coordinated attacks, using tools such as IRC (Internet Relay Chat).

What Are Life Cultists?

Life Cultists are survivors who utilize the Action Point (AP) effectivity of zombie characters, while still utilizing the flexibility of survivor characters. Simply put, they use zombies characters to take hostiles down to low health, so the survivors may utilize their headshot skill, which when a zombie is killed by them, they will need to spend more AP to stand back up. After the zombies are cleared out of a ruined building, the friendly zombies step outside, and the survivors repair the building, and move onto a new one.
Life Cultists specialize in Rot Revives, because they believe in the tactic of Combat Reviving, or reviving all zombies to get them out of a building regardless if they want to be revived or not, which with other types of groups, is generally frowned upon.
Life Cultists also do not use guns. Guns are AP-inefficient and also take alot of downtime to restock on ammo, therefore for AP efficiency, no guns are used.

You can join the ranks of Hard Knock Life by registering and posting in the "Join Hard Knock Life" section of our Forums.

However, there are a few requirements for a new member:

For a survivor, the skills of Free Running, NT 1 2 3, Axe + Melee Trees, Construction, and Headshot is a minimum.
For a zombie, the skills of the attack trees complete, lurching gait, and ankle grab are a minimum.
Agreement to not use or carry firearms on your Hard Knock Life character.
IRC Access, either by a standalone client or our mibbit client. Our channel is #HKL on irc.nexuswar.com.
Ability to make our 10:30 EST strike time.
